We teamed up with a local brewery to make a craft beer that celebrates the great outdoors and spirit of adventure. Outsiders IPA is made by Ringwood and is limited to only a few thousand bottles. This is a refreshing beer best enjoyed with a view.
Nothing hits the spot quite like sinking a cold one after a long day of adventure. No matter whether we’re tearing up the trails or kicking back on a hot sandy beach after catching waves, we always make sure the fridge in the van is stocked and the campfire is stoked. It’s part of the ritual of making new friendships and celebrating old ones. That hiss of opening an ice-cold bottle and the chinking of glass as you share stories and relive memories around an open fire, watching the sunset over the stillness of the ocean.
Outsiders IPA is a celebration of our need to escape. This refreshing beer is made by a local brewery up the road from us on the edge of the New Forest. Ringwood Brewery was one of the very first microbreweries in the country, set up in 1978 in a converted bakery by one of the pioneers of the craft beer movement, Peter Austin. They have made some pretty epic brews and have picked up their share of CAMRA awards over the years, but they’re still a real find and a name that’s best known around our neck of the woods.
The good people at Ringwood share our love of travel, so we agreed (over a pint) to bottle the spirit of adventure and create a beer for quenching our thirst in the great outdoors. Packed with American hops and subtle pine-like aromas, this is a deliciously smooth beer for cracking open around a fire on a starry night or around the BBQ after a long week at work. We’ve already sampled the goods, and this liquid gold definitely hits the right spot after a long day in the sun.
Store a few bottles in the van fridge or in a bucket of ice and wait until it’s ice-cold to the touch, ready for when you swim back to shore or rock up off the trails. Our favourite way to drink Outsiders IPA is straight out the bottle looking out over the best view we can find.
