How to measure
Bust
Place tape measure under your arms around your back and across the centre of your chest.
Waist
Measure around the narrowest point basically just above your naval keeping the tape slightly loose.
Hips
Measure the widest part of your hip. Make sure you keep your feet together when measuring.

I bought my regular jacket size and it has plenty of extra room for a T-shirt & sweater underneath, but still fits and looks good even with just one thin layer. The sleeves come down to my wrists even though most jackets and shirts don't (I'm 5'8"). Very warm and comfortable. Pockets are in just the right spot, and they are very deep. (WORD OF WARNING: There is an interior "pocket," but it's not really a pocket and has an opening. You can put a phone or something large in there but not a lip balm, etc., as it will fall through the opening.) If you like a snug fit, size down one, but I like the roomy fit.
